XIOPM Successfully Develop China’s First Multi-functional High-power Semiconductor Laser Ageing and Life Testing System

Recently, XIOPM successfully developed China’s first set of high-power semiconductor laser ageing and life testing system with multi-functions of power, wavelength, spectrum and polarization monitoring, and passed the acceptance organized by the CAS Bureau of Conditions Security and Finance on Nov. 10, 2015.

Zhang Hongsong from the CAS Bureau of Conditions Security and Finance chaired the acceptance meetingsupported with an acceptance expert panel consisting of 9 experts and professors from Xi'an Jiaotong University, Northwest University , Shaanxi Normal University, Xi'an University of Technology and CAS Xi'an Branch, etc. The expert panel carried out on-the-spot test of the performance indexes, went over relevant documentation and unanimously thought that the system developed by XIOPM is more complete and systematic compared with international equivalents, even better than international equivalents in some indexes.

The multi-functional high-power semiconductor laser ageing and life testing system is suitable for real-time monitoring and ageing and life testing of power, wavelength, spectrum and degree of polarization of single-tube, conduction-cooling single-array, microchannel water-cooling single-array high-power semiconductor laser working under CW and QCW modes, can carry out various automatic test and data processing of various parameters at higher speed and with higher efficiency. With such equipmentscale ageing and life testing through high-power semiconductor laser can be realized.
