"A Method for Stellar Magnitude Simulation” Obtains State Invention Patent

On April 19, “a method for stellar magnitude simulation” obtained the state invention patent. This invention was co-developed by staffs from Xi’an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics (XIOPM), CAS, including He Junhua, Yan Yadong, Dong Xiaona and Cang Yuping (Patent registration No. ZL200610104767.4).
Steps for “a method for stellar magnitude simulation” conclude followings: close-loop feedback controlled high stability constant illuminant system will generate wide spectrum analog light; filter the analog light to make the analog has the same character with the stellar star; choose four among five fixed light transmittance rate attenuators and attenuate the analog light with different rate; alter the attenuated analog light through submicroscopic and flat starlight tube to parallel beam.
This invention solved the problems of the current star simulator such as low accuracy, sole optical spectrum and high cost. This invention could simulate seventeen stellar stars, three optical spectra, and its accuracy is high, the accuracy rate for single star parallelism simulation is ±1″. It can be applied to a wide range of areas with low cost.
