Speaker’s Resume:
Nigel, in 1988, he was awarded the highest honors in physics at University of Reading; in 1992, received Ph.D. in laser physics at Swansea University; after that, he was engaged in new radar optical system research in Malvern Defense Research Laboratory for six years; later, he served as R & D senior manager of JDS-Uniphase in San Jose and Ottawa, Canada respectively. During this period, he invented optical wedge switch, scattering group filters, etc., and their commercial development is just under way.
