Dr. Zhang XiaoweiResearch Fellow in Japan Institute of High Energy Physics (KEK).
In 1980, he went to Japan from Peking University to be an undergraduate of Chiba University. After graduation, he studied for a PhD at the University of Tokyo. After completing doctoral thesis with honors in 1989, he was employed by the internationally renowned KEK laboratory to cooperate in development of synchrotron radiation Mu Wolfsburg Irvine study and obtained an internationally recognized research results. Later, he carried out Synchrotron Radiation Angiocardiography research and nanotechnology research successively and published more than 100 articles in the internationally influential academic journals.
Dr. Zhang is enthusiastic about and concerns for China's development of synchrotron radiation cause. For more than ten years, he returned to China for dozens of times to attend the discussion and experimental result analysis of Beijing Synchrotron Radiation Facility and the experimental method design of Shanghai Light Source beam-line. He made many valuable suggestions in equipment manufacturing, probe selection, experimental methods determination, etc. Thus, he has made important contributions to our country’s development of synchrotron radiation and is highly praised by domestic counterparts.
