Xi’an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics (XIOPM) was awarded with Important Scientific and Technological Innovation Award, by Xi’an High-tech Industrial Development Zone, on Feb. 25, 2011, during the Entrepreneur Alliance Meeting, 2011. Xi'an Focuslight Technologies Co., Ltd was honored with Top Gazelle Prize for enterprise, 2010. XIOPM was award with the same innovation award in 2008 for the first time.

XIOPM made significant outcome of research in the past year. Project “Hyperspectral Imager in Small Astronomical Satellite for Environment and Disaster Control” was honored with the second prize of National Scientific Innovation Award, and “Chang’e II” stereo camera accomplished its task for taking pictures for the moon. XIOPM was awarded as Excellent Unit for Project Chang’e II, Excellent Team in CAS, and also Excellent Team in Staff Management in CAS. What’s more, XIOPM was awarded with International Top Award “High Speed Imaging” gold award. Under the support of Shaanxi Development and Reform Commission in 2010, XIOPM lead the development of alliance for high-power laser for enterprises in Shaanxi Province. Almost 20 enterprises, universities and institutions were listed in the alliance.
