Function:
Because the main components in the blood have good scattering properties for 600-900nm near-infrared light, functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) brain imaging device detects changes in oxyhemoglobin (HbO2) and deoxyhemoglobin (Hb) during brain activity. This device can accurately locate the local brain activity based on the measured HbO2 and Hb concentrations, thus providing a possibility to establish the correspondence between brain activity and anatomical location. At present, the device is applied to research in many fields such as advanced cognition, development, psychology, and abnormal psychology in the natural context. It can also be used to research the cognitive neuroscience of infants and special populations and the neural mechanisms of brain cognition in natural situations.
