Youth Innovation Promotion Association Organized Academic Activities upon Profile of XIOPM-Fascination of Space Optics

On November 11, Youth Innovation Promotion Association, XIOPM organized the Academic Activities upon Profile of XIOPM-Fascination of Space Optics in the meeting room on 4th floor of Zutong Building. More than 30 people from research departments of XIOPM attended the activity. Firstly, the association president who is currently an associate researcher of Key Laboratory of Spectral Imaging Technology of CAS Xue Bin introduced the agenda of the activity this year and made the academic report tiled with Hyperspectral Imaging Technology. Associate researcher of Laboratory of Aircraft Optical Imaging and Measuring Technique Yang Hongtao introduced the research condition of the laboratory and the outstanding achievements XIOPM obtained in field of aircraft vision. He also looked to the future of XIOPM in the said field. Associate researcher of the Space Optical Technology Research Department Feng Liangjie introduced the department’s history, current research projects and discipline construction.

After the meeting, young researchers of Youth Innovation Promotion Association, XIOPM visited the Key Laboratory of Spectral Imaging Technology of CAS and researcher Xue Bin gave a detailed introduction to the research results achieved by XIOPM in the field of spectral imaging technology. In the aerospace room of aerospace building, the young researchers of the Association visited the Center of Advanced Optical Processing Techniques. The center’s deputy director, researcher Ma Zhen introduced the equipments, including large ones like 1.6m milling and grinding machine, water jet scalpel and trilinear coordinate measuring instrument as well as the carbon fiber reflector used during the processing. In addition, Feng Liangjie from the Space Optical Technology Research Department and associate researcher from Laboratory of Aircraft respectively made a simple introduction to their own personnel.
