Special Seminar on “Attosecond Optics” Is Held in Beijing

Following proposal of XIOPM, National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Information Department held the special seminar on “Attosecond Optics” in Beijing Xijiao Hotel on Apr. 27, 2015. Executive deputy director of NSFC Information Department Qin Yuwen, project director of Mathematics Department Ni Peigen, division head of Strategic Planning Division, Information Department He Jie, deputy division head of Division 4, Information Department Pan Qing, academician Hou Xun, director Zhao Wei of CAS XIOPM, Peking University academician Gong Qihuang, SIOM director Li Ruxin, CAS Physics Institute researcher Wei Zhiyi, East China Normal University professor Zeng Heping, over 20 represents from Lanzhou University, Shaanxi Normal University and other research institutes that take the leading positions in the field of “Attosecond Optics” participated in the seminar. The seminar was jointly hosted by XIOPM director Zhao Wei and SIOM director Li Ruxin. 5 represents keep the word shortest record of attosecond pulse made special reports on the seminar.

The participants carried out in-depth discussions relating to “Attosecond Optics” focusing on international research status, trend, application prospect and domestic existing research basis of “Attosecond Optics” and future research orientation. This seminar gave scholars an opportunity to exchange opinions regarding to research orientation and provided important basis for NSFC’s better utilizing foundation to promote Attosecond Optics’ research and formulate development planning.
