XIOPM Admission Open Day 2014 Held Successfully

    On Sept. 23, XIOPM Admission Day 2014 Open to Shaanxi higher universities was held successfully. About 60 recommended students from 5 higher universities including Xi’an Jiaotong University, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xidian University, Northwest University and Shaanxi Normal University participated in the activities.

 

    At 9:00 a.m., Admission Open Day raised the curtain at Graduate Department, XIOPM. Secretary of the party committee Ma Caiwen made an opening speech and gave a comprehensive introduction to XIOPM’s remarkable achievements and latest developments in recent years in the aspects like general situation, discipline development and graduate education, etc. He, by telling his study experiences in Xi’an, sent words to the students present, encouraging them to cherish today’s environment and conditions, setting clear goals, spending more time to learn cultural knowledge and laying solid foundations so as to make contributions to the development of our country. At last, he invited students to pursue further studies at XIOPM and expressed his great welcome for their joining XIOPM.

 

    During the interactive links after report, students raised questions like how to make career planning timely and correctly, features of further study at XIOPM as well as prospect of graduates, etc. Ma Caiwen answered the questions one by one and sent souvenirs to several active students. The students felt overjoyed and the atmosphere was very lively.

 

    Afterwards, Graduate Department made detailed introduction to XIOPM’s graduates’ cultivation policy and admission policy of this year and gave suggestions to issues that students concerned about while making application. Under the leadership of volunteers, students also paid a visit to XIOPM’s Scientific Achievements Exhibition Hall.

 

    As usual, the lunchtime was for tutors and students meet-and-greet. Held in the form of buffet party, the party offered students and tutors a good chance to communicate directly; helped students get a better understanding of specific research purpose and research condition in the future. Tutors, by taking this opportunity, knew more about students before the examination or accepting recommendations. The whole atmosphere is full of laughter and their understanding between each other became deeper. Later, 15 students attended interview set for recommended students in the afternoon.
