XIOPM, Together with Department of Optical Engineering, Zhejiang University Establishes Summer Social Practice Base

On August 2, 21 persons including Professor Zheng Zhenrong, Director Assistant of Department of Optical Engineering, Zhejiang University and another 9 persons from School of Mechanical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University visited XIOPM for investigation and survey. And on that afternoon, XIOPM and Zhejiang University concluded an agreement regarding to jointly establishing summer social practice base and hold a signing ceremony. Deputy Director of XIOPM and schoolfellow of Zhejiang University Gao Limin and Director of Graduates Department Li Jinfang attended the ceremony. 



On the ceremony, XIOPM researcher and schoolfellow of Zhejiang University Chen Liangyi gave a general introduction to XIOPM. Gao Limin, on behalf of XIOPM, expressed that XIOPM wishes to carry out more extensive communication and cooperation with Zhejiang University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University as well as other key state institutions in the fields of talents training and science research, and spark new ideas. He also welcomed students who are interested in engaging in optical technology research to receive further study and work in XIOPM, to serve country with the knowledge they’ve learnt and to play a role in optical development of China. 

Zheng Zhenrong, on behalf of Department of Optical Engineering, Zhejiang University expressed thanks to XIOPM. He hoped that by establishing summer social practice base and professional graduate training base, recommending excellent graduates to work in XIOPM, the university and XIOPM will build closer relationship, strengthen interdisciplinary communication and develop more extensive cooperation. Professor Zheng also warmly invited teachers and students of XIOPM to pay a visit to Zhejiang University to enhance their mutual understanding. 

After the signing ceremony, students of Zhejiang University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University conducted three-day practical activities in XIOPM.
