On July 24, Secretary of Party Leadership Group, CAST Shang Yong who came to Shaanxi Province for participating in the 8th Congress of Shaanxi Association for Science and Technology headed to XIOPM and conducted investigation and survey with respect to achievements transfer and transformation of XIOPM.
Accompanied by Director of XIOPM Zhao Wei, Secretary of Party Committee Ma Caiwen, Shang Yong visited the Scientific and Technological Achievements Exhibition Hall of XIOPM. He also looked over and experienced a series of industrialized achievements including high-power fiber laser, fiber-optic gyroscope, 3D printer, 3D projector, projective angiograph, ionic wind air purifier, T800 carbon fiber, electric current transducer for smart power grids use and optical fiber temperature sensor for smart power grids use, etc.
Afterwards, Shang Yong left for the Meeting Room of XIOPM and listened to work reports concerning change of achievements transfer and transformation concept and practical exploration given by Cao Huitao, Head of Knowledge Operations and Industrial Development Division.
Having been gearing to international frontier, national needs and livelihood requirements, aiming to promote national economic development and taking advantages of superior scientific research condition and open scientific research environment in recent years, XIOPM in recent years attracted a batch of top talents in related fields with strong scientific research abilities and high entrepreneurial zeal. Supported by these talents, XIOPM focused on market and industrial requirements, broke traditional “binary pattern”, innovated boldly, adopted “talents+technology+capital+service” as transformation mode, and finally transformed multiple hi-tech achievements that benefit people’s livelihood and incubated many hi-tech industry companies with no black smoke emitted, no waster water discharged, low power consumption and high efficiency. Meanwhile, through efficient exploration and practice like initiating Xike Angel Fund and establishing high-end optoelectronics collaborative innovation demonstration base, XIOPM has created a completed “relay baton” —industrial ecologic chain which can help to realize the scientific research achievements’ transformation from innovation.
In the symposium held later, Zhao Wei offered proposals on liberating scientific researchers in policy and created a more open environment for their research, innovation and entrepreneurship. Shang Yong listened to the work report of XIOPM, expressed his appreciation to XIOPM’s innovation concept and mode and asked to file XIOPM’s report materials for further study. As for Zhao Wei’s proposals, Shang Yong said that he would organize investigation to accelerate innovative energy of scientific researchers.
Member of Shaanxi Provincial Standing Committee and Secretary of Organization Department Mao Wanchun, member of Party Leadership Group of CAST and Director of the General Office Wu Haiying, member of Party Leadership Group of Shaanxi Association for Science and Technology and Vice Chairman Dang Guanglu also participated in the investigation and survey.
