According to Management Methods of Laboratory and Testing Agency Qualification Verification and Assessment Criteria of Laboratory Qualification Verification, appointed by Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China, 3 assessors and 1 observer from Assessment Team of CAS conducted site assessment of laboratory metrology accreditation to Quality Management Centre of XIOPM from October 11 to October 12.
Assessment Team listened to the report on laboratory operation condition made by principal of Quality Management Centre. What’s more, they conducted site assessment by laboratory site investigation, operation assessment, examining testing report, original record, instrument and equipment record files and technical files of personnel randomly. They also carried out site experiment assessment on 7 kinds of testing abilities (including optics, length, angle, camera, wire and cable, time frequency and environmental experiment) applied by Quality Management Centre. During the assessment, experimenters were able to implement relevant experimental standards and operational specifications, and they were skilled in instrument operation. Laboratory equipment conformed to requirements of relevant procedure and the experimental results were accurate.
All members of Assessment Team agreed that quality system of the Quality Management Centre is adapted to work scope and workload of laboratory, and meets the accreditation assessment criteria and relevant requirements. Continuous improvement operation is effective. With first-class environment condition, advanced instrument and equipment and strong technical personnel, the centre has the ability to test its applied products. The 3 authorized signatories are all qualified to authorize the signature qualification and are suggested to be the authorized signatories. After finishing rectification of basic unqualified items, it will be reported to Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China for verification and approval, and authorized relevant metrology accreditation qualification.
