When the existing signal lamp is installed, the installation location of signal lamp filament is required to be measured whether it has met the requirements. However, the volume of traditional measuring device is comparatively big and needs fixed power supply, it can neither be carried nor be applied to field operation. A portable electronic device used to detect whether the central location of signal lamp filament is installed in place is necessary for the purpose of ensuring the installation of signal lamp up to grade.
In order to solve the technical problems existed in signal lamp installation and measurement, Xu Chaohui and Zhang Yongkang from Tracking and Measurement Technology Research Laboratory of XIOPM invited a portable electronic device through research. The device is of small volume and light weight and can be used to detect the central location of signal lamp filament. The device is to install camera in the center of mounting rack field, keep the center of field and that of lamp-chimney on the same axis. In this way, the camera is able to take pictures from the central location of lamp filament directly, and the people may, by observing the location showed on the display, reposition the location of lamp filament until it aims its center exactly and realize accurate installation. The advantages of the device are: 1. adopting small-sized LCD (liquid crystal display) and miniaturized circuit, with small volume and light weight, and is easy to be carried; 2. duplex feeding of battery supply, and with its own ni-mh charger, long duration of battery performance which reaches 3.5 hours once; 3. avoiding direct touch of eyes to light resource of signal lamp and is applicable to realize accurate installation under the condition of intensity light or laser.
The “Portable Electronic Device Used to Detect Central Location of Signal Lamp Filament” was granted national invention patent in June with the patent No. ZL201010619990.9.
