"The Twelfth Five-Year Plan and Innovation 2020 Development Plan Mobilization Meeting of XIOPM" was held in the lecture hall of Zutong Building, on October 20. Party and government leader, key scientific researchers and managers, and leaders of holding company of XIOPM attended the meeting. Director Zhao Wei gave a report on the Twelfth Five-Year Plan and Innovation 2020 Development Plan of XIOPM.

Director Zhao Wei first introduced the innovation phase III subjects development, talent team construction, implementation of significant task, and industry development of XIOPM. He pointed out that XIOPM has achieved continuous, stable, and fast development, technological innovation capability and competitive strength has increased obviously, and fully accomplished the goal task of the innovation phase III.
Afterwards, Director Zhao Wei presented in details the Twelfth Five-Year Plan, Innovation 2020 Development Plan, and the 1-3-5 significant action of XIOPM, and focused on the research institute positioning, key breakthroughs in three directions which will be completed in the end of the twelfth five-year plan, and five key cultivating research directions in the innovation 2020 specified in the 1-3-5 significant action of XIOPM.
Director Zhao Wei required that each research unit should arrange subject planning and talent training plan in accordance with the Twelfth Five-Year Plan, Innovation 2020 Development Plan of XIOPM as soon as possible, encourage inter-cross and fusion of subjects and realize substantive key breakthroughs and innovation, and encourage large numbers of genuine young talents of scientific research to emerge. Director Zhao Wei also pointed out that research office should pay more attention to young scientific researchers, and he emphasized that the maximum contribution to research institute is to accomplish a key project and train young talents.

Vice-director Ma Caiwen indicated in the summary speech that in the Twelfth Five-Year Plan, Innovation 2020 Development Plan of XIOPM, we should strongly support new direction deployment. He hoped that we can grasp the opportunities, cherish the historical opportunities provided by the Twelfth Five-Year Plan, implement the scientific research innovation of research office, and start the work of the Twelfth Five-Year Plan, Innovation 2020 Development Plan of research office soon and strive for the support of XIOPM.
