The Annual Meeting of Professional Committee of Holography and Optical Information Processing, and Professional Committee of High-speed photography and Photonics was held grandly in Inner Mongolia University from August 1 to August 5, 2011. This meeting was jointly hosted by Professional Committee of Holography and Optical Information Processing and Professional Committee of High-speed photography and Photonics, undertaken by School of Physical Science and Technology of Inner Mongolia University, and sponsored by State Key Laboratory of Transient Optics and Photonics, Key Laboratory of Ultra-fast Diagnosis Techniques of CAS, and Inner Mongolia Physics Association. Over 150 experts and researchers from 50 universities and scientific research institutions who worked in the field of optics and optical engineering attended the meeting. Academician Hou Xun of XIOPM attended the meeting and gave an invited report.

The theme of this meeting is the Development of Information Photonics and Application Technology. This meeting summarized and exchanged the newest achievements and in the fields of China optical holography and optical information processing, and high-speed photography and photonics, discussed the development direction and future trend of this field, and provided a platform for participants to exchange new ideas and learning new technology.

The topics of the meeting including: Optical Holography Technology, Optical Information Processing Technology, Function Materials and Devices of Photoelectric Information, Micro-nano Manufacture and Optical Holographic Element, Influence on holographic display of rapid development of three-dimensional film and television, Optical Signal Detection, Micro-nano Biological Information Photonics, and Transient Photonics. Forms of invited report, group report, and posted report are introduced in the meeting, and experts and scholars exchanged lively. There are totally 12 representatives from XIOPM attend the meeting and gave 9 reports.

Academician Hou Xun gave a report of progress on high-speed photography technology of image converter tube. He introduced significant progress and research achievements of high-speed photography technology of image converter tube, analyzed the history, status quo, newest development trends, and application of high speech photography technology of image converter tube, which indicated the future development trend and direction. He said that the image converter tube high-speed camera of XIOPM has reached advanced international level in many aspects. The report is lively and rich in content, and broadens the horizon of the participants, which helped the participants to understand the achievements and academic position of XIOPM.
