Academician Zhou Guangzhao, the former vice chairman of NPC Standing Committee, the former president of CAS, and honorary chairman of China Association for Science and Technology, and his fellows visited Xi'an Focuslight Technologies Co., Ltd., on May 9. Director-General Zhao Wei and Party Secretary Wu Wenbin of Xi’an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics (XIOPM), CAS, accompanied the inspection and participated in the discussion.
During the inspection, Zhou Guangzhao and his fellows visited the product showcases and product lines at Xi'an Focuslight Technologies Co., Ltd., and watched the application demonstrations of high-power semiconductor lasers in materials processing and new light sources in large color gamut projection display. They also listened to the report by Board Chairman on technical R & D, market expansion, and development plan of the company. Zhou Guangzhao affirmed their market-oriented practices combined with self-development equipment and advanced production technology to develop international advanced products, and gave a high evaluation on the combination mode of production, studying and research jointed by the two strong ones of XIOPM and Xi'an Focuslight Technologies Co., Ltd.

Academician Zhou Guangzhao made valuable suggestions on further R & D and industrial development of the company. He said the development of high power semiconductor industry has a bright future and hoped the company to increase the cooperation with industrial enterprises, accelerate the speed to market, gain first-mover advantage in market competition, make the scale of the industry bigger and stronger as soon as possible, and make greater contribution to national and local economic development.
