Lou Qinjian, Executive Vice Governor of Shaanxi Province, inspected Xi’an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics (XIOPM), CAS with the guideline of “Co-ordinate scientific and technological resources, and promote the industrialization of scientific and technological achievements” on March 7th, 2011. Director Zhao Wei, Party Secretary Wu Wenbin, Deputy Director Gao Limin and part of the research management stuff participated the meeting with Lou Qinjian.

Executive Vice Governor Lou first visited Xi'an Focuslight Technologies Co., Ltd. that was co-founded by a team of several overseas returnees and XIOPM, inspected the display and the production line of high-power semiconductor laser products, and also listened the report about the company research, product development and strategic planning. Governor Lou discussed issues regarding technologies and competitiveness, recourses needed, industrialization and profit issue with the staff.
Governor Lou was very satisfied to see the technology development, for it played a vital role in industrialization of high-power semiconductor laser research outcomes. He said the provincial government would pay positive attention on XIOPM and its research, and would support XIOPM when there is a need for industrialization.
