State Key Laboratory of Transient Optics and Photonics held the third conference of the Third Academic Council on January 15, 2011 at XIOPM. Academician LIN Zunqi, Academician HOU Xun and other Chinese well-known experts in the field of transient optics and photonics attended the meeting together with parts of the academic backbones at the laboratory.

Academician LIN Zunqi, deputy director of the Academic Council, chaired the conference. During the conference, Academic Council members heard the Annual Report 2010 of State Key Laboratory of Transient Optics and Photonics by research fellow ZHAO Wei, director of the laboratory, and the five academic leaders’ academic reports on the key research progresses of the laboratory.

And then Academic Council members made a serious discussion on the laboratory construction and development goals, setting up research directions, progress and priorities, open topics and independent cutting-edge projects, team building and management operation, etc.
