Abstract:
Eyes are a major organ for human being to receive information from outside.
There are many arterial and veins beneath the eyes. It is also an important organ to diagnosis diseases at its early stage. Early detection for fundus lesions is vital for diagnosis health status and detecting diseases.
In order to meet the growing need for computer aided system for ophthalmology detection, this program applied most updated optical and image processing technique, the development of this program is also based on computer aided system for ophthalmological camera, the development of the program could help to achieving intelligent medical diagnosis and monitoring system.
Introduction on the presenter:
You Jia,, PhD. Professor of Computing Department in Hong Kong Polytechnic University, chairman of the academic council of computing department, director of China Affair Contacting Office, graduated from Xi’an Jiaotong University with a bachelor degree on electronic engineering in 1986. He was selected in 1988 for a state educational program and was sent to the La Trobe University for doctoral degree. You Jia taught in The University of South Australia and Griffith University from 1993 to 2002 in the department of computing and information. He was granted with an international postdoctoral scholar fund given by the France’s foreign ministry office. Doctor You researched the area of flight target tracking and recognition in the University Paris XI; he was given the senior academic qualification certificates by the France’s Educational ministry. In the year 1998 he was recruited by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, computing department. He was given the title of professor in the year 2010.
Professor You has published more than 180 academic papers in well known international journal and international meetings. Over 1000 of quotation are from his works. He also has many patens, one of them is registered in the United States, and one of them is authorized in Hong Kong. He is also deputy editor of many well known international journals and magazines. He is the president for the first and second international medical biometric conference.
