Brief Introduction:

   Vice-president of School of Science and Technology of Sun Yat-Sen University, second grade professor, doctoral supervisor, ministry of education distinguished professor of "Chang Jiang Scholars Program", gainer of the national outstanding youth fund, chief scientist of the national project 973 (including great scientific research project).

He got a doctor of science degree in Shanghai Jiaotong University, department of applied physics in 1995; he researched as a post-doctor in institute of physics of The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in 1996-1997; he was appointed research assistant of the institute of physics of CAS in 1998; he was appointed associate researcher of the institute of physics of CAS in 1999-2000; he developed cooperative research in department of physics of University of Antwerp in Belgium, department of physics of Lund University of Sweden, and School of Physics and Engineering of Australian National University as senior visiting scholar and visiting researcher. He was appointed researcher of the institute of physics of CAS in 2005 and professor of School of Science and Technology of Sun Yat-Sen University. He was honored the second grade professor in 2007.

The major research projects he is currently engaged are as follows: micro-nano photonics and its application, quantum optics, solid state quantum computing, strong interaction between light and materials, non-linear optics. He has published over 50 thesis on SCI Academic periodical, including six phys. Rev. Lett. , which has made some contribution to the development of quantum optics in micro-nano structure. His research achievements have a great influence internationally and domestically. His thesis on SCI has been quoted more than a thousand times, and he was invited to give more than 30 invited reports in international and domestic academic conferences.
