Speaker Profile:

Prof. Shi Yi is the PhD instructor and Dean of Advanced Technology College, of Nanjing University. He is also standing Vice Chairman of Physical Society of Jiangsu Province, and the member of Surface and Nano Professional Committee, of China Vacuum Society.  He has been engaged in physical research and the researches of micronanoelectronic new materials and devices.

From 1991, he had been a visiting scholar and doing cooperative researches in the Institute for Metallic Materials of Tohoku University, Japan, Debye Institute of Utrecht University, Netherlands, Institute of Production Technology of University of Tokyo, Japan, University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley), Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Cambridge University. In 2003, he won the Outstanding Youth Fund of National Natural Science Foundation.

During the decade, more than 130 papers are published which were cited over 150 times by SCI papers. He applied for and obtained 17 national patents, and won the third prize of the State Technological Invention, won the first, second and third prizes of Provincial and Ministerial Scientific and Technological Progress respectively, and 7 identifies with provincial level or above.
