Profile of the Lecturer

Professor Zhang Chao（Chao Zhang）, born in Shanghai in 1955 and won Ph. D from the City University of New York, US, in 1987, is professor with Australia Wollongong University, and visiting research fellow with CAS Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology. He has made many important researches in fields of optoelectronics, material science and condensation physics, particularly of THz optoelectronics, etc. Recently, his research centers on THz optoelectronics and thermionics. Professor Zhang Chao has published more than 100 theses in journals such as Phys. Rev. Lett, etc, enjoying wide spread influence in international academic circle.
