Background
ANSO is a non-profit, non-governmental organization launched in 2018. ANSO aims to improve regional and global capacity in science and technology, human livelihoods and wellbeing, and to promote broader S&T cooperation and communication.
CAS (Chinese Academy of Sciences) is the national academy for the natural sciences of China. CAS is the leading founding member of ANSO, and major sponsor of the ANSO Scholarship for Young Talents.

PhD: 6000 or 7000 RMB/month (depend on whether passing the qualification test).

Where to Study
The ANSO Scholarship supports students to pursue postgraduate education at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) or institutes of CAS around China.
USTC
First university established by the CAS in 1958.
One of the most important innovation centers in China
Ranked among the best universities in China (from 5th to 3rd), around 100th in the world by world acclaimed university rankings such as QS, THE, US News, and ARWU.
UCAS
Precursor being the first graduate school in China, itself as the largest graduate education institution in China.
Students get centralized training as well as specialized research training at CAS institutes around China.
ESI ranking 2019: No. 1 in China and No. 82 worldwide
Who Can Apply
1.Non-Chinese citizens
2.Proficient in English or Chinese
3.Master’s program applicants:
be born after 1 January 1991 (inclusive)
PhD program applicants:
be born after 1 January 1986 (inclusive)
4.Not take up other assignments during the period of his/her scholarship
5.Meet other requirement by USTC/UCAS
