Postgraduate degree, doctor of Science, member of the Communist Party of China. He is currently the secretary of the Party Committee of the Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics (XIOPM), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).

From 1999 to 2009, he successively served as director of Science and Technology Department, deputy director of State Key Laboratory of Transient Optics and photonics, assistant director of XIOPM. Since 2009, he has successively served as vice president of Xi'an Branch of Chinese Academy of Sciences, member of Party Group, deputy secretary of Party Group, leader of Inspecting Discipline Group and secretary of Party Group. In July 2020, he is appointed secretary of the Party Committee and deputy director of XIOPM.
