Method Invented by XIOPM for Testing the Gel Particals in Polyacrylonitrile Polymer Fluid
Recently, researcher Wang Haojing and his colleagues of XIOPM invented a method to test the gel particals in polyacrylonitrile polymer fluid, which was granted the National Invention Patent (No. 201010210608.9).
This new invention resolves the technical problems like plugging holes, breaking wires or burning board which may happen during the current testing process. The procedures of the invented method are specified as follows: 1) to adjust the weight percentage of polyacrylonitrile polymer fluid to 2%～8% by using the organic solvent (dimethylsulfoxide, dimethylformamide, dimethylacetamide); 2) to filter the above-mentioned solution by glass fiber filter whose aperture is about 0.5～2 μm; 3) to irradiate the glass fiber filter which filtered the above-mentioned solution with ultraviolet fluorescent lamp, if there is foreign body with white or bluish white glimmer on the filter paper, the gel particals exist in the polymer fluid; otherwise, no gel partical exists.
Without expensive equipments, the gel particals in the polyacrylonitrile polymer fluid are able to be quickly tested using this new invented method.
