Researcher Yan Pingkun Attends the 14th MICCAI International Conference
“MICCAI 2011” (International Conference on Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Intervention in 2011) was held in Toronto Canada from Sep.18 to 23. Researcher Yan Pingkun and his student Cao Yihui of the Study and Analysis Center of Optical Imaging of XIOPM attended the conference.
Their paper “Segmenting Images by Combining Selected Atlases on Manifold” was chosen by MICCAI and won the “Student Travel Award” given by the conference committee. There are 134 international scholars applied for the prize this year and the committee chose 40 according to their papers.
MICCAI (International Conference on Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Intervention) is the top international conference on medical image computing, computer assisted intervention and medical robots. It attracted nearly a thousand scientific researchers and academics home and abroad to participate, including doctors, biomedical statisticians, computer scientists, engineers, physicists and researchers in other fields.
