LI Xuelong Named AAAS Fellow

On Nov. 21, the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) announced the fellows elected in 2016. LI Xuelong is one of them attributed to his engineering mission in the field of optical image analysis and study.

Established in 1848, AAAS is the biggest union of scientific and engineering associations as well as of non-profit international scientific organizations. The candidates are nominated by steering committee and present fellows and elected after getting approvals of majority of members of the steering committee.

LI Xuelong focuses on optical observation, optical monitoring and other engineering applications. He has been titled as AAAS Fellow, OSA Fellow, SPIE Fellow, IEEE Fellow, IAPR Fellow, IET/IEE Fellow, FInstP (IOP Fellow), BCS Fellow, HEA Fellow, IASEA Academician and GYA Member, etc.
